Paula Faris
Paula Faris is an American journalist.
She previously worked as a TV correspondent for ABC News. Her time as co-anchor
on Good Morning America Weekend (2014-2018) and co-host of The View (2015-2018)
are well-known. In the past, she anchors World News Now as well as America This
Morning. After graduating, she worked in several communications-related jobs
including an operations position at Mills/James Productions in Columbus, Ohio.
Due to the limited opportunities on television, she landed an opportunity as an
agent for sales at radio. After a year of work as a production assistant at
WKEF/WRGT she was in a position to report and anchor at times. She was one of
the weekend and weekday sports anchors for WCPO TV, Cincinnati, from 2002
until. She was a sports reporter at NBC's Chicago affiliate WMAQ-TV from
November 2005 through December 2011 after her contract expired. In December
2011 she was appointed by ABC News, the news division of ABC. Her debut on the
network was on the 2nd of January, 2012 for ABC's World News Now, and America
This Morning. She also appeared on Good Morning America's fill-in programme,
Good Morning America, beginning on January 2, 2012. In the following years she
was promoted to New York-based correspondent on all ABC News programs. She was
the host of America This Morning and World News Now's last episode on January
22, 2013. After Bianna Golodryga was transferred to Yahoo!, her debut as
co-anchor on Good Morning America Weekend was announced on August 9, 2014.
News. On the 25th of August, 2015, ABC announced she would join The View as a
co-host for season 19. On August 3 in 2016 it was announced they had renewed
her contract for its twentieth season. Season 21 also got renewed along with
the co-hosting role. She was most visible in the 21st and 22nd seasons on the
series.
